What I offer

A Level Maths & Physics

Focusing on supporting students to maximise their exam results by developing undestanding and identifying improvements in exam techniques.

Targeted use of exam questions, tailored to the students exam board, help to identify misconceptions and improve results.

As an examiner I’ve gained a deep understanding of the common mistakes and misconceptions that students make. I know where marks are often lost, and I can help you avoid those pitfalls. I have a keen eye for what examiners are looking for in student answers, and I can help you to learn how to interpret mark schemes with ease. This knowledge is invaluable when it comes to preparing for exams.

GCSE Maths, Physics & Computer Science

Build confidence to help gain the grades you need.

This may be helping you to gain that all important B/C grade (Grade 4/5 in England) or pushing you to achieve that A* (Grade 9).

I also tutor students for GCSE L2 Additional/Further Maths, which is often taken by more able pupils to help bridge the gap between GCSE and A level maths.

STEM Clubs

In person (West Wales) or online clubs that are designed to allow small groups of homeschooled pupils of a similar age to explore STEM topics with guidance from myself.

It could be that I suggest a broad topic and then over a period of weeks we bring in various aspects of this covering a range of branches of science, mathematics and computer science.

Alternatively the students may have a topic that they wish to propose, and with agreement of the group we will similarly explore it together.

Life happens, so if you need to make a last minute change to the tutorial start time that is fine, as long as the tutor is available. Prompt communication is encouraged, and WhatsApp is my preferred method.

If you don’t show up or you cancel within 5 hours before the tutorial starts, you’ll be charged 100%. However, if we can arrange a replacement tutorial within 4 days (depending on the tutor’s availability, which isn’t guaranteed), there will be no fee for the missed session.

If you arrive or log on late, or encounter technical issues that disrupt the tutorial, the full tutorial period is still charged at 100%. However, if everyone is available, the tutor will try to complete the full duration of the session.

If the tutorial start is delayed for any other reason, or if the tutor faces technical or other issues that prevent the full session from being completed, a proportional fee reduction will be applied.
